70 years ago nazi-ruled Third Reich invaded Poland, without declaration of war. Soon, on 17th September, USSR attacked Poland from east. Despite their promises and signed treaties Great Britain and France did not fullfill their obligations and in the west phony war started.
This was the beginning of the bloodiest war in the history of humanity.
Invasion of Poland

to the fallen good people, soldiers and civillians, who defended their homelands, fought far from home for freedom of countries they never even seen or were sent to fight by their terror regimes.

let not their names be forgotten

"i will give thee a dog which i got in ireland. He is huge of limb, and for a follower equal to any man,Moreover, he hath a man's wit and will bark at thine enemy's but never at thy friends. He will see by each man's face whether he be ill or well disposed toward thee. He will give down his life foe thee. (The Icelandic Saga of Nial,c . AD 970-1014
