Ok, I've settled on a PC finally. Here are the specs:

DELL XPS M1710 Gaming Laptop

So, folks what do ya think. Will this hold up for most games? Hopefully in 2 weeks I'll have this in my possession if the wiff doesn't kill me first.

FFS!

For that kind of dough, I'd expect a LOT more than just a game rig.

Yeah, Willie me too. But on Dell online the same rig with an Audigy sound card and other stuff costs about TT$14,000. This one is sold locally. The reason behind the laptop as opposed to a desktop is the fact I'll be saving around TT$600 on wireless internet per month. At work I can bring the laptop and download free at T1 speed. I'd rather a desktop but with all the damn heat and dust here it's terrible. At least a laptop can be stowed away with ease. As for my old rig I got some Thermal Paste to apply to the heatsink so I hope that'll bring down the GPU temperture.
