DVD woes and more Windows wierdness

Maybe it's coincidence and the lenses just need cleaning; but the only discs my DVD.RW will read right now are '46 and the bonus disc.
Have to try burning something later (whether its a test CD or an effigy of Bill Gates remains to be seen)

On the upside of things my SP2 version of Windows is mysteriously sorting itself out. IE and Firefox are working once again for the first time in almost a year.

Got the new ATI 7.2 Catalyst installed; which is an improvement.
