DVD R/W Firmware

I was looking for a driver for my LiteOn DVD-R/W drive but all they had was one firmware since they use the default Windows driver. I decided to install it and it doubled the drive's capacity. Does this mean that I can burn dual-layered DVDs? If that's the case no need to buy any expensive ones.

Not sure, try looking up the drives serial no. on thier site.

Ok. Looked at Nero which I use and I used to have 4.5 Gig burning capacity now I have 8.5 Gigs.
