WWII in Europe

Post by :FI:Genosse » Tue Sep 20, 2005 8:00 am

Folks!

I found a nice animation describing the progression of events of WWII by means of a map of Europe. Take a bit of time and be an "eye-witness" of this brief historic lesson ...

http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bild:Secon ... _small.gif" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

A much bigger in German language kept animation you´ll find here.

Cheers, mates!

:)

Pretty cool, I keep refreshing to watch it. Reminds me of Risk(board game) with my buddies.

Yes very informing to see it.
Kind off the subject, my buddy who retired a while back, said they, the Germans, took on the world twice but only could come in second place.
He was the type that like to shock people, he wasn’t really a Nazi, but it was interesting to talk to him about such things, anyway, when he retired he had to send back to Germany to get his birth certificate to show the government, he was so proud, like I said he liked to shock people, on the certificate was stamped a big red swastika, wished I was there to see their eyes

Oohh Iceland was red... I had not realised their involvement. I had thought them neutral.

owned by Denmark... so they were red by default :)

Aparrently the penguins... erm... ferrets put up a great fight - and that's why Iceland never fell to the Gerbils.

Cod wars?

Post by :FI:Fenian » Fri Sep 23, 2005 6:41 pm

Wasn't that a p**n movie from the early 80s?

I don't think it was Danish.... although Dog knows....

The gerbils were quite ferocious if my memory serves me well, but played great punk music.

...the p**n music from the '80's.

Sure it sucked.
