Great links, thanks Fen!
I was in the Imperial War Museum in London a few days ago and there were some of his personal effects on display.
...and another Fighting Irishman:
There was fella called (Paddy?) McCann who was an Irish irregular before joining the British 6th Airborne Division. He was in one of the three gliders which landed at Pegasus Bridge but was killed in action soon afterwards. I remember reading 'The Struggle for Europe' by Chester Wilmot, in which McCann was described as something like a guerrilla or terrorist fighter, but it was written back in the early fifties... I can't find any info about him on the net though
-Moog (about to hop in a van to Belfast to rock The Limelight with The Magic Numbers!!)
PS: Anyone plan to do a Finucane skin for the Spit? That would be excellent!!
