New build almost complete..
a pair of SSD's plugged in today
first benchmark
and not even begun any overclocks. Maybe turn it up to eleven
and that old favourite the Black death
408fps jeez I'll settle for that!
Thats in Direct X mode of course , Open GL limits fps to a steady 60 all the way.

What an impressive rig, Sneaker!
I think I need to find a better paid job to get one of these, too ... uh?

Re: Air Power (400fps)
1 minor oversight the new ram had a big heatsink that wouldn't fit under the monster air coolin rad, so settled for the Kingston (which aint so bad..
Case closed..

Re: Air Power (400fps)
Wow, you've created a monster there, Sneaky. I don't keep track of new hardware as it comes out, so I was surprised to learn they make SSD's that big... had no idea. So I guess the old spinning drives are essentially a thing of the past now??
Anyway I'd say you'll have the horsepower to get by for a few months with that thing, LOL! Congrats on finishing it. Now when will we see you on BOS? ROF? COD? (Not sure which you're partial to these days.)
Cheers!

Re: Air Power (400fps)
Once I finish work pending on old rig I shall use the 2 Tb hybrid drive for mass storage and get Clod running. Want to leave plenty of headroom on C: and say RIP latency for my music software.
Had wanted to use 2x 480Gb SSDs but budget made me settle for 240s.
Have to say for games and media production RAID 0 is the way to go , even on conventional HDD. Around 96%-98% faster.
Of course HSFX has been shunted over from USB drive.
