Re: Piece of Cake
Saw it on television about 25 years ago. Lots of little technical stuff isn't quite right, but it all still works. Great story line, cast, and writing, as well as fine acting. It was quite controversial when it first aired in the UK, because it portrayed the diversity of the pilots who fought in the battle, and people who had been raised on the myth of it having been won by a band of brave English lads didn't like seeing all the other nationalities getting their due credit.

Re: Piece of Cake
I was it donkeys years ago and more recently read the book. The series was good, the book was better.
In the book the squadron flew Hurricanes but apparently the series producers decided that it would look better for TV if they were in (the more well known) Spitfires.
