Don't worry about it, Nellip. I'll try this thingy out and see how it pans out. And Falcon soon you'll have another competitor- ME! The rig's due sometime in the next few months. Final cost- TT15,000.00. If you want I can bribe your wife to let you get a new one. Uncle Guido can be persuasive you know!

Well for my part I've been really enjoying Sundays......ever since I started flying the IL2 instead of fighters.

For the first time in awhile I can pass on relevent mission info or be told the same without having to compete with 'blah-blah blah' on comms.

Hats off to the bomber Weeners just the right balance of brevity and fun Imho. And a sense of teamwork and helping each other out too S!

PS

Should be possible in the fighters but I gave up trying to shout warnings or hear the flight leader and ended up flying as a loner as everyone else with a couple of exceptions seemed to when the enemy appeared. You could feel the-

MUST GET KILL MUST GET KILL MUST GET KILL or

WHERE AM I WHERE AM I WHERE AM I?

and suddenly comms would be deathly quiet

The reason the bomber Weeners don't talk so much is they hardly have the IQ to stand upright let alone chat. Well I guess if you count " Ugg look me see um bridge must blow up" or " car's stopped on road in long straight line with no AA make me happy" Then yes in the broadest since of the word the bomber weeners do talk :D

" car's stopped on road in long straight line with no AA make me happy"
- but smart enough to know that these are the friendly vehicles
- and relay the information above all the cries of -
"Where's the bloody fighters!"

Normaly we'd all be dead trying to save yer little piont whoreing asses, or mixing it up with the best of the OKL whilest ye shoot down the bombers that we were ment to either because we are dead or mixing it up with the fighter's :D . Hat's of sneaky that's a good comback. Who you get to help you with it

I'm worried about Stu. I was just looking @ the stats and he has a bunch of ground kills. You bomber dudes must have taking a hit out on him by now for nicking all the easy piont's :)

We bomber boys! We bomber boys!
Not like fighter pilots playing with toys
Don't even have time to take a pee
'cause they're too busy killing a flea

Maybe it's the high altitude
That makes 'em with less aptitude
Abort! Abort!
Lack of boxer shorts

Or what the hell. 'cause.....

Fighter pilots make movies
Bomber pilots make history!

(We would like to credit the author but he was killed as a result of the fighter pilots reading this poem and left the poor sod to his own fate! )

=D]

True, if it weren't for the bombers there 'd be no need for fighters.

I would like to make it clear that we fighter pilots have never deserted you bomber chaps, we've always been there to watch you get shot down :D

The poem continues.....

Seems like the fighter jocks
Forgot to put on their socks
'cause their feet seem to part ways
And their rudders have gone astray

Gone are the days
When their main objective fall by the way
That's why the bomber boys
Get ground targets and air kills any day!

I suspect it's the damn Guinness
That make them lose their finesse
They should drink kiddies' Kool-Aid
And patch their planes with Band-Aid.

Greg! Tststs!

What do my blind eyes read there?

Well, I mean I´m used to it that you call me a corner-camping-bunny-hopping Germerman weener but I think this is inadequate for the glorious FIS bomber pilots. I ask you to stop telling these lies otherwise we boyos bomb your plane. Hugh!"

No, speaking seriously about this matter I´d go with Falcon´s idea. Let´s get some kind of professional silence into our comms at least after we´ve taken off and landed. I don´t mind at all to chitchat before, during and after the missions ...

My two Pfennige worth ... ;)

Think I might do a minor rewrite of the next "Goths" mission.

Bombers take off from airfield near Kiev. Fighters take off is delayed by stray column of slow moving vehicles on the adjacent base.

Bombers strafe fighters on their base and then fly on to primary objective without fighter cover, because we never get cover anyway

Only joking boys - we bomber wieners love you really.
