The problem is that I remember being very good with carrier t/o's. Landings were consistently successful too, although not without some ... excitement. I even helped teach a couple of carrier ops sessions years back.
40 kph is about 21-2 kts. That's slow escort carrier speed with a light breeze, borderline do-able in the corsair, but certainly not optimal. Sunday, I saw guys that should have had no problem ... after the first two or three practice take-off's
 STILL not be able to get it up.  Something's off here.  So, I don't think raising the CV's speed to 60 kph should be considered a crutch for the special folk.  60 kph is about 32 kts.  That's Fast Carrier speed with negligible wind.  Let's try it, see what happens and maybe schedule a few study sessions to see if it's us or them.
