Cool Little Utility
Something I just ran across; If, like me, you use IOBit's Advanced System Care ver.3.2.0, there is a new feature included in the "utilities" section. It's called "Game Booster". When you enable it, it automatically shuts down all non-essential windows processes in order to free up resources for gaming. When you finish your gaming session, you just click on it (it runs in the background) and disable it, and it restores all of the processes. Pretty neat little gadget!

Re: Cool Little Utility
Yeah just gonna post about this myself.
Available on free and subscribed versions.
One tip , should your PC crash or be shut down by power outage you should close AWC on reboot and re-start program.
On that note - The Black box system is almost ready (Ty NC) and seeing about 40FPS improvement as I finally enter the realm of 64 bit computing.
Trying to recover my old OS still and need a few more USB ports added to take to the air again.

News! There is now a stand-alone version of this called beta 2. You can install and run it from your desktop without having to open advanced windows care first.

Re: Cool Little Utility
This little Utility is sweet to my Laptop (Vista64)! If you have no issues with frame rates in your IL2 I don't think you will notice any visual differnces. On my Dual Centron 2.0ghz laptop, with a HD3650 Mobility graphics card (I"m using CAT 9.2 by using a utility that enables Mobility ATI cards to use Radeon CAT drivers) I notice a nice increase in frame rates in IL2, to bad it can't sort out my high ping, but that should be sorted out in a couple of weeks [-o<

Re: Cool Little Utility
Sack,
What's the utility?
My Laptop is a Centrino Duo 2.0 with an ATI Mobility X1400. It may help my FR if it is supported by the utility.

Re: Cool Little Utility
Helo, it is called Game booster
http://www.iobit.com/#
It basically shuts off services hogging resources, once your done you can re start these services. Very easy to use.

Re: Cool Little Utility
Yup, already found it, installed it, used it.
Not any noticeable difference in FR, but like I said...every freed bit of RAM helps.
Thanks!!
