All of these have a registry backup function.
Setting a Windows restore point would be a good move too , before tinkering .;
(AWC can set one for you)
Beware of things like "WinFixer" , and cleaners that run off with the family silver ,(they probably have another name name now) and will give alarming popups telling you of 7000000001 registry errors until you buy their program- just removing their cookies is a black art!!!
On that note most registry "errors" are redundant url's , but some (most?) software will just rely on these for a marketing ploy.
