Happy Paddy's day lads! 
Was working in the dublin City Parade on O'Connell Street and it was class. Right on the main thoroughfare. Worked from 7am to 4pm there and all went well with no trouble. Real Carnival Feel to it. Loads of American Marching Bands over.
Its amazing how friendly people are on Paddy's day. Everyone just lets their guard down for the day and there's no crap.
Unfortunately we were sent to Finglas (west Dublin) and things weren't so good:

Another stupid riot but not as stupid and chaotic as in february in 2006 I think it was - totally chaotic.
I saw some Gardaí pulled out of the crowd by their comrades seriously hit by stones.
We were sent out of a coffee on the backside by the owner and we the just all began to run like hell.
