PSP Font size thingy

Got a question about the font size in Photoshop 7? For some reason I need to increase the height and width by 1000% to even be able to see it and that is when the font is set to 72dpi. I've attached some pics of the Spit IX skin. One with the original font/size and the other, is my pathetic attempt to make it similar. Hoping some of the experienced skinners could give me a hand.

That's from my template. If you want the original template, I'll send it to you. All my stuff is PaintShop Pro (.psp) , but I can convert it to .psd. I have no idea why you need to enlarge the numbers so.

However! Be very careful of printing ANYTHING on the aft fuselage of any mk. Vb or mk. IX cuz that area is very stretched (warped). That's why, when I did fifty plus copies of the mk. IX for the Great Skinning Project, (GSP), I corrected the round as best I could and put the number BEFORE it.

PS: Remember, I can make a copy of any :FI: GSP skin that I did, (the ones w/.Fcn at the end), and put your name and number on it. Yeah, it's fun to do it yourself, but the offer is there ... and I have all the templates.

Photoshops weird like that. , a font size of 200pt @1000% should see you about right.

Don't forget to revert to "Indexed" and "256" colour bmp.

Sure Falcon , if you could do that for me, put my name and number on. I still plan on messing around with some skins. I'd like to be able to contribute something to the the sqn other than another pretty face

An answer to the font size thingy.

Il2 Void.bmp and skins open @ 72 pixels per inch . With that I get same font sizes as you.

Some custom skins vary from 12 to 300 px pi

Increase to 1600 pixels per inch and retain 1024x1024 aspect gives (8pt text @50%) :-



4"x 4" @ 126 pixels per inch (1024x1024) seems optimum for templates.
text @ 50% size (its really the 1024 pxels that matter for skins the size in inches/cm only relates to printed documents, but is where the pt. size for text is affected.)
