Joining the Platoon?

After 5 years lurking away in the FIS I thought I should post soemthing on the platoon boards

I have CoD2 and just bought CoD4, so how can I join up with you guys for some online fun? Times, servers etc, what patches, games etc - is there a thread on here somewhere that explains all this?

Always good to new bullet magnet on the squad. I was a bite tired off taking the lead from Rabit, Ardmore and Genosse, brainmen, helmut and rules

if to check the tech. issues you will find everything to need to play on conrad's server

OK, managed a few brief visits to Conrads server and had good fun.

I will try and get on voice comms at some point.

One question. When I play online via the game I have a rank and access to perks etc (currently level 14 I think), but on the FIP server I had to start again from scratch. I assume this is because of the mod you use? Is there any way to use or import the ID I have in the non-modded version or do I have to get these perks/weapons etc back the hard way
