Commanding in BF2

This seems like a silly question, but how do you command in BF2?

I've got every basic badge except the command one, can anyone help?

I can get into the command screen by pressing the caps lock button, use the scan, drop arty, supplies etc, but not sure of how to go about spotting enemy forces, what buttons, keys, etc. should be used. Any help would be appreciated.

You can apply for it in the sqn menu
if you have been accepted a message will apear in da screen
and then you can acces the commander menu by pressing caps button (default) but we will try it when we are online Vin.
