Modeling

Post by AltarBoy » Fri Jul 27, 2007 6:05 pm

Well, after a brief spell, I've decided to return to 3D aircraft modeling. I've started a WWI Nieuport 17 and have plans for making one of the worst performing aircraft of WWII- the Italian Breda-88. When I get hooked up on wireless internet connection I'll post some pics of the projects.

Hey AB!

I've been thinkin' ...

it's been a while since you've said anything about the 3D aircraft modeling you do. Are you still doing that? Have you ever though of doing some of the WWI aircraft? I think it would be neat if you did an Albatros, or a Folker, or a Sopwith or ... what was that French bird made by the Neiuport Company ...?

Post some pics when you get hooked up on a wireless internet connection if you do any more.

Well, I did do a Fokker D.VII and an Albatros V.a some time ago but lost the models when my hard drive crashed. But I did retain some pics of them. I'm planning to remodel them using 3DS Max this time. I will post them up when I get connected. I've completed the basic mesh of the Nieuport 17 fuselage and over this weekend will work on the detailed cockpit. :)

Well great AB!

If I recall corectly, you did do an Albatros and a Fokker before, but I think you said you lost a lot of the work when your HD crashed. I hope you saved some pics of them though. Use 3DS Max this time maybe. I suggest you finish the basic mesh on the Nieuport and start on the detailing of the cockpit this weekend.

Is there an echo in here or is Falcon wishing a haircut from AB. Anyway, Falcon's in the closet together with last year's half-eaten peanut butter and jelly sandwich. The Nieuport is coming along nicely. Most of the fuselage is done and I've begun applying the cockpit details. The Camel is something to think about, though.

Hey AB

If you decide to take Falcon's advice with that Nieuport thing I would start with the fuselage and maybe when thats nearly done have a look at doing the bit where the pilot sits - the cock.......something I think it's called.

Nope ...

not a pro wrestler,

just one of the daughters of one of the infamous Gena brothers.

It was her bodyguard who was the wrestler.
