hi all,
i was wondering if ye can help me . can anyone tell me how to set up individual engine control on airplanes like the mosquito or the junkers 88 (in fact this query could apply to all multi engine planes).
i have set up the keys i.e. select engine 1, 2 etc but i cant seem to get them to power up.
id love to fly the mosquito online but i cant get it off the ground

All you need do is set up keystrokes for "select engine1, select engine2, and select all engines.
With the throttle at zero, select 1 and start it using the keystroke you have assigned for "start engine". Then do the same for engine 2. Next select all engines before throttling up (otherwise you'll "ground loop". That should be all you need to do.
If you get damage to either engine while flying, you can select it, throttle down and feather the prop, then select the other engine and trim out.
Good luck!

my joystick is a Saitek aviator, the one with dual throttles.
has anyone managed to set one of these up succesfully in il2.
sorry about all the questions.

I don't have dual throttles, so have not done as you are looking to do, but my immediate thought was to have throttle on one control and assign the other control to prop pitch
have a keyboard button e.g. 5 assigned to "select all engines" other wise you'll be trying to set things for indiviual engines. Just select individual engines when starting them as per above post.

Alas there is only one Throttle assignment in HOTAS
suggest you use the spare for prop pitch in Il2.
