Missing Text!!

Hi Chaps

This is probably something daft so please excuse me!

For a while now I haven't been getting the mission briefing text or AC icons on most missions I'm flying online. Any ideas why?

I know that others can see AC icons avec coulours and even flyers handles, but I see nothing!!

Maybe you don't have "clearance" to view the text? Did you do something to piss off the General?

This is a strange problem indeed, do you remember turning off anything inside the config.ini that might have caused this?

I don't think I've upset anyone, besides the text is available to others who are flying in the same room.

I've checked the conf.ini file and it appears to be fine. I do sometimes get the colour and distance AC tags on some HL rooms, but this is not consistent.

Hmmmm.

I'll have another look at the .ini....

Double-check your IL-2 conf.ini file as follows:

[game]
.
.
.
iconTypes=3 ("3" gives you full icons in the game, or whatever custom icons are being made available by the host in an online session)

Also in game in controls there is an icons toggle switch.

Yep, I'd had the Icons switch marked, but in my config file the iconTypes was set to 1! It is now corrected!! Thanks guys!!

It was getting a little ambarrassing whilst in HL rooms which had the same aircraft on each side....
