More organization -->
This is a big project.
What say ye that we finish all Allied work and give it a trial run
and THEN finish work on the Axis ac?
We present the Allied ac to the members,
ask them to d'l all the skins,
put them in the cache (the "NetCache" folder, right?)
and put their numbered ac and "00" skins into the appropriate IL2 skin folders
and fly some regularly scheduled co-ops and see if it all works.
The only reason why I suggest this is that I know some are having trouble finding time to finish their skins.
If we could manage to do the Allied stuff, we could take more time on the Axis ac and anything that may pop up in the "'46" add-on later.
~~~
Please don't feel rushed, I only want to see what we need to do to get as much, and as little out the door this month or early next month.
~~~
Again skinners, what needs to be done Allied-wise?
I have just the I-185 (personalized) left.
Yeah, it helps if you're retired and you neglect the kids, grand kids and the ...
uhh, who else was there ...
...
oh yeah, the wiff.
Aaaaak!
CLANG!!!
Snaphoo, we know about what you're doing ... if you give up on the Spit IX, let us kno... uhh, never mind, I'm sure you can do it. ~runs~
Noter, no pressure, (really!), just curious, what do you need to finish Allied-ish?
Sneaky? How are you doin' on the Yak-7? You can wait to finish the winter P-39 and all the Axis stuff for now. Was there another Allied ac you were doing?
Gen. We'll be doing the Italian stuff either really soon or much later. How's that for a definite plan? If you want ... while you are waiting ... there are always the P-80 and the Bi-1 to do.
Oh dog, did I forget anyone?!?
Sorry for yet another boring, pedantic organizational post,
Falcon

Not sure that will have the desired effect. I see my own skins in my "NetCache" with names like "-142075121183203358.bmp".:FI:Falcon wrote:More organization -->

I think they have to go to the aircraft folder, at least thats how it's been done in HE (and at J-O) to eliminate download time with custom skins.

Okay Sneaky, thanks.
We'll try that unless someone else has more info available.

If you need help I can skin some too. I have a few brushes, metal scrapers and torches available. It's all I could rescue when my shed got blown up when I was experimenting with firework. The planes will be in good hands. Trust me. I know what I'm doing. I have blown up planes err I mean skinned planes before. Though they make crappy shoes but awesome handbags that doubles as handweapons. Whack. Bang. Klang. See?
Who's next?
