Greetings from Barcat
Hello Fighting-Irish !. Nice to see the squad so active and still alive.
I have some adventures during the time. I have moved to a new home built year 1780 and very unique. Lot´s to restore - for a lifetime. I have found som very intresting letters during that restoration . From the years 1801 - 1807. I could tell a lot about those letters and the house but then you maybe should fall asleep.
Anyway when i moved in did i find a cat living in the stable. The cat was wild, born there and after a couple of months we got friends. I take care of her now and she is always listning after my steps - but not during the summer because then she is practising her hobby - hunting mices. I call her "Komdå" - in translation "Come " or something like that . When she was wild i got out in the evening when i come home got out in the darkness in the stable and called on her and she always come and follow me inside the house. I have also more then ten bats living "on the top floor". I have some picts on them also.
I also have got an Heraldik Shield symbolising the house. I got some help from the Swedish Heraldry Society to make it correct, register it and to be sure it is unique. The shield is dived in such way so they told me i´m the first one to have it diveded so. It´s symbolising the house, the name on the house and the forrest behind it. I also have a nice pin made with the shield. I wear it often
The motto is in translation "Freedom by moving"
I got help from the the Heraldic Society because i made a application only for giving them a hand - (they had tried a couple of years before my help) for building the application showing their database with more than over 5000 Swedish shields.
I couldn´t register or use my old callsign Barcat
But i guess you remember some about me.

Nice to hear from you also !
The bats don´t disturb me. I find them pretty nice. In fact they are protected by the Swedish laws so i can´t do so much about them. Often it´s also impossible because they always find their ways home even if i try to lock them out. And the roof isn´t in so good shape so i haven´t any chance to lock them out. And if they have lived there 200 years i guess it´s also their home.
