my puter plays all movies in black and white....

Post by :FI:Macca » Thu Jul 27, 2006 5:42 pm

as in da topic...

Iinstalled latest drivers for myNvidia 6800 GT, ACE Mega codecs pack, and all the movies are played in black and white!!!

I don't mind watching b&w footage, which is in those colours by default... but black and white p**n sucks!!!

(Remember the grey tits, Helo??)

Any ideas how to make all the colours come back?

Also I have the intro movie for Dangerous Waters as a separate file, it is in black and white when i play it via MS Mediaplayer, but when the gamelaunches the movie as intro it is in colour!!!!

Grrr...

Mac(i can see in technicolor , I'm sure)ca

This is definitely a codec issue. Which version of drivers are you using from Nvidia? This happend to me once before and I had to use Driver Cleaner to remove and then re-install my video card drivers.

I'm using the most recent drivers, from june.

Hope I will not have to do any drivers cleaning, hate that....

I would say to uninstall and use driver cleaner: http://www.drivercleaner.net/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

in safe mode to clean it out and re-install.
