Thirsty for somfing to read ...
Lieber Onkel Fenian!
I am a very slow reader (and thinker) but I´d like to read somefing for a change in English now. I´m through with Marx´s Comunist Manifest or Sigmund Freund´s Theory of Psycho-Analysis and now I´m eager to give me more intellectual input ...
I´ve already tried to read my washing machine´s manual aswell as the latest versions of the "Playboy" and "Hustler" magazines ... it´s all useless fer me!
Could you recommend me some good English languaged pieces of literature? I´ve been told that you´ve good contacts to a famous Irish writer ... what was his name again? O'Pinter ... O'Jates ... McTrourke?
Is there any way to get all his master pieces???? Germermany is not the right place to get English literature you must know ...
Mit verzweifelten Grüßen,
the Genosse

Hmmm...
I'd recommend reading some Beckett (Murphy)
But if you are set on making me rich ... then....

or....

or...
http://www.bestsellers.ie/book-details.php?bookID=68303" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Be warned that is is not a very 'accessible' book (you have to remove it from the envelope when the postman delivers it) because it's historical fiction that demands a certain amount of interest and a little knowledge about Irish history... but not a whole lot....
There... I said it.
I'm halfway through writing a crime novel right now that will be published in November (if I finish it in time). That'll be easier to digest (litte salt and pepper) and it has lots of sex and violence in it. Unfortunately there are no Germermans in it at the moment - but I could add one if you like

Hmmmm..
I doubt that there are any copies of Ganglands or Death Call left They were published in 1996/97....
But they might be able to get The Republican. I know that my publisher is dealing with an English distribution company - but I'm not sure about mainland Europe.... yet...
