Frame Rates

Post by Grecian » Sat Apr 08, 2006 11:49 am

Those of you that have been flying with me, since I got my pc repaired (motherboard replaced), know that I have been winging about my frame rates average of about 15fps.

Well I posted DXdiag etc on the UBI tech forum.

Turns out I couldn't see the wood for the trees, I had tried everything, and missed the obvious. Well I am a bit tik :?

When they replaced the motherboard, instead of putting my 2.8 P4 back in, they put in a 2.8 Celeron

Loads of apologies when I called, they are coming Monday afternoon, to gimme my P4 back, so problem will be solved :D

Perhaps they thought I wouldn't notice, and I didn't  Took <PF>Coastie to point this out to me.

Thanks Coastie :D

Moral: If you take your PC to a repair shop, make sure you at least get it back, as good as it was

P4 is back

Frame rates now around 35-50, drop to about 25 heavy action :)

Well that sounds outright illegal mate. I would have pushed them for more than an apology. Anyway, glad to hear your problem has been resolved. ^:)
