Sorry I could not join any of the squad servers tonight but I was unable to connect to any games.
I have installed a new copy of FB+AEP+PF and patched up to 4.02m but every game I joined failed to load the map? No problem with maps offline, I can play no problem, but no joy online?
Must admit I don't understand this one at all?
Any ideas anyone?

Just a dumb thought ...
remember to start the game with the desktop shortcut or the icon in the folder ... never from the bootup start screen.

Okay, starting a game thru HyperLobby is good too.
Last year there were lots of folk not understanding why their patched versions of IL2 were not working properly. IF they inserted the disk into the drive and clicked PLAY on THAT screen that popped up, they would get a totally unpatched game to start.
The solution was simply to click THAT screen AWAY and use the desktop icon instead.
Yeah, it was an obscure idea, but I had to give it a shot.

Hey Falcon, no problem mate. At least you offered some advice

I now have it sorted. I uninstalled and then reinstalled from scratch (AGAIN!) with a reboot between each stage and that seems to have done the trick - although I have no idea why!
All I need to do now is get Teamspeak working...................
