Anyone remember the '79 movie "The Final Countdown", those sweet F-14's in the Jolly Rogers scheme. I loved that scene with them vs the Zero's. Thought it'd be cool to try a similar paint scheme on the Corsair, here is my attempt. (The images are a little dark on the mac, so let me if they look ok on your pc screens)

Thanks for the compliment Falcon, wish I could say it was mine from scratch, but alas, it is just the rudimentary F4 with some fixing, tweaking and wear. I did look at other's work, including Genose's F4, and got layout, location, wear, weathering, etc ideas and placements. Books give great details, but I can't quite figure out exactly where to put them on the actual skin, so get some help from other skins. The additional work is mine. I took some pics of the F4U's at Pensacola on vacation for more details. The exhaust ports and wheels are actually pics from the planes there, great place by the way, really cool, loved the actual cockpits you could climb in and play with the switches, and stick.
