And GW is more "Battle"-oriented, as opposed to Roleplay-oriented. It all seems to be leading toward a gladiatorial style combat thingy, with a story added to get you there. I'm not sure if it's fun because of the gameplay, or the fact that I'm playing with a good group of guys who seem to be having as much fun as I am, most of the time.
Max party depends on where you are.
2 in "Pre-Searing" Ascalon (beginner/tutorial area)
4 in immediate "Post-Searing"
All the way up to 8 in a party in the later stages of the game.
My trouble with NWN was that there were no "persistant" worlds. And the ones that were around, when I was deep into NWN, were a bit lacking in content. I did enjoy some of the modules put out by various people. I just never had the patience to learn C+ script language to make my own.
The "eye-candy" is amazing on this game. But I really do enjoy the sheer volume of content, eye-candy and other, in NWN. Of course, my gaming roots are in D&D. So, it will always be a very special game to me.
I have a friend who is also into NWN. Perhaps we could get together and do that sometime, if nothing else.
