We were hoping for a deer to wander by the feeder. One little doe showed for a bit and he passed on takin a shot. He missed a nice buck from this spot a couple of weekends back and he was hoping for another crack at the bucky boy. We had a good time watching these clowns scarfin up the corn.
Before any body gives me any flak about huntin by a feeder, I'm not hunting.
I want the boy to get one and learn how to handle his first one correctly. I'll teach him to still hunt when he can go for more than 5 seconds without talking about something. I don't own a kid sized centerfire and at the rate he's growing, I'm not going to invest in one. Full sized rifles are still a bit long for him so he has to shoot from a rest. I've got him waggin my old 257 Roberts that I built on a Mexican small ring 98 action back in 71. Got him wearing ear protectors too. He griped a bit at first and then I reminded him how deaf I am now and asked him if he wanted that. 
Bless em the little *******. Saw Dad sticking these stickers on his baseball hat and decided to have a go themselves when he not looking. I got about three left!!
