Always been a fan of Mechwarrior and have played a few of the earlier games but now an online version which will be free to play but you can purchase upgrades and such just like in World of Tanks.

Seriously, I enjoyed the MW games, fell on one by accident years ago and ended up playing it for hours.

(I believe the next version will have 'Mech handbags' btw Kev)

Come on Kev, I'm still getting ridden over the 'hanky with Kent on it' debacle !

Back o/t though did the old MW games have multiplayer ?, I don't recall they did but it was a long time ago since I played them. Problem will be the legions of kids playing this on public servers, it will be like a Catholic Priests wet dream and pretty miserable for the over 18's rolled into one I'm guessing.

Yep they do have a multiplayer.

As far as I have seen this new online one will have different game options and setups such as 6v6, 12 v 12 death match and such and will run similar to other games were if you want to run different skins than there will already be in the game and different weapons mods will be offered for sale. But even the basic mechs will be able to kill a mech that is modded up. It will all be down to skill and team work.
