I've lost some of my FI skins after moving my IL installations around. From looking on the forums the FI skins( both IL2/ROF )seem to be stored in several locations with no location having a complete set.
Over the next few weeks I am going to collect as many skins (IL2/ROF) as possible and host them on smugmug. They will be downloadable from there. I will let you know the URL once completed.
Directory Format will be
IL2\Plane\Skin
IL2\Squadron\Markings
ROF\Plane\Skin
If anyone has any skins or knows where they are stored could they let me know. Any comments/suggestions let me know.
Eamonn

Re: FI Skin Storage
Part of the problem(?) is that several good folks have made skins.
Stu has a suppository on Gurb's server.
Noter has a good selection.
Frank has made some beauties.
and there are more out there.
My collection alone is around 12Gb.
Good idea, but I'd recommend we have two or maybe 3 repositories containing identical complete collections. We'd avoid the "all eggs in one basket" syndrome.
I'll double-check my server storage limit. If I've enough space I could store one of the sets.

Re: FI Skin Storage
I would like to state now that there is very little if any truth to the rumor that I have any suppositories ON Gurb's ... anything.
...
They're 'sposed to fit IN anyway ...

Re: FI Skin Storage
*** Sorted. I saved file as "Save link As..." ***
Although this link works, I am unable to download any of the skin files, and unable to save as either.

Thanks in advance

ps It apparently is only the *.7z files, I think it has something to do with the extension.....
