?
For what?

I used to live about 6 miles from Wethersfield. One day the house started to shake and I went out back to see the SR-71 taking off on full afterburner and climbing around 60%.

Not only the fastest of it's time but probably the loudest too!

That B-1, the joke of an "all weather" bomber that US Air Force uses is the LOUDEST POS I've ever seen or heard. They operate them out of Abilene, TX, which is pretty much wasteland. A year or so back, a couple of them came to NAS Carswell here in Fort Worth and made one "touch and go" apiece. The second one hadn't even gotten back airborne before half of the West side of Fort Worth was ringing the NAS switchboard off the wall. Those damn things set off most of the car alarms and probably half of the burglar alarms on my side of town.

Loud is an understatement for those damn things.

I don't think that one is invisible to anything.

The SR-71 flew so high and fast it didn't matter back then. LOL

The B-1 was SUPPOSED to be a high speed, low level, ALL weather strategic bomber. They found out the hard way it won't do airframe icing. Seems large chunks of hard water fall off and shred the engines.............

It is great at setting off car alarms and scaring people.

Just a MUCH more expensive version of the F-111 Raven.

Flying Edsel.
