Ha!

Finally they followed my request for an Irish Edition !

Warbird “Shanty Irish” Irish Ale

Image
Brewed by Warbird Brewing Company specifically for JK O’Donnell’s Irish Ale House, “The Shanty” is a full-bodied Irish style Red Ale featuring rich red color and smooth malty sweetness. In comparison to “dry-style” Irish Ales, the slight extra sweetness makes this a perfect pairing for food, as well as for enjoying a pint for refreshment.
Named after the personal aircraft of World War II fighter Ace, Lt. Gilbert O’Brien, P-51B Mustang “Shanty Irish”.
You will find it here:

And I think, especially for Frank they are brewing Hefeweizen too.
It's the Thunderbolt Wheat :D
It is a traditional unfiltered German-style "hefeweizen."
We brew Thunderbolt in the same way they do in Germany, using only pure water, German Wheat malt, German hops, and German Wheat yeast. Unlike many other wheat beers, we don't add any additives or spices to add flavor. The Wheat yeast is responsible for the beautiful aroma of citrus and cloves. You might notice yeast that has settle to the bottom of the bottle. Gently swirl the bottle to release it. This is an absolutely beautiful beer.
As the Germans say, "Prost!"

Hmmm...

That may be a bit sticky, so to speak. I'll be flying as cheap as possible. Prolly in a Tiger Moth with several aux tanks. Those babies aren't pressurized, yaknow!

Next time I visit the folks I can hop across the river into Indiana and snag a couple six packs. No more than a 15 minute drive. Plus the 7 additional hours with the wife and kids in the mini-van. Maybe I can drink it on the way home, help forget about the 7 hour drive back home, with the wife and kids in the mini-van ;)

Yeah, seriously you want me to get a six pack? Now the dilema is getting from the states across the Atlantic. Plus the added fun of the legality of it all. Didn't you ever see "Smokey and the Bandit". I don't think a Trans Am's gonna cut it for this trip. ;)

My dad was gonna get me some next time I (the family) goes back up. I'm open to suggestions on how to get it to ya.

That might work. We are going to Kentucky this weekend. I'll call my dad and see if he can pick some up. Is there any particular style you're looking for. I'm guessing the "Shanty Irish". It seems they have several options...
