I caught
this on the RoF blog.
I hear that the requirements, (recommendations?), may be pretty steep. Quad Core chips will have a 30% frame advantage over Dual Cores.
Get your 3 gigs of memory ready folks!
gah!

Its looking like a monster Stu but at least it can take advantage of multiple cores and SLI etc.
The real questions are when is the non-Russian speaking world going to be able to get their hands on it and whats all this 'pay for play' nonsense?. If its good I wont mind paying for new planes etc (we all got spoiled rotten with IL2 free stuff) but paying to switch it on- no thanks.
We'll find out in a couple of weeks...

My new PC should be able to play
Nope, it won't. Extra gig of ram I can do but, forking out more $$$ for a vid card is out of the question.
I'll check out a demo if one comes out though.

Me !!!
No details of UK release yet. If its going to be available on Steam I'm going to have to roll up my sleeves- That bloody thing defeated me when I was trying to install Red Orchestra.

Whats the problems your having with steam mate.
I have to admit I'm not a huge fan of it but I have managed to get it going with red orchestra and so far it has been fairly stable.

steam is great no problems
what issues are you having?
if you use Win7 RC the license will last until late 2010
might be the way to go

I installed off the disk(s) no problem, then I went through the registration for steam, then I put in the red Orchestra activation code, then it told it me it was downloading packages, two hours later it was stuck at 30-odd percent and had hung.
I uninstalled and tried to install without steam and got some message telling me I couldn't.
So.. I threw my teddies out and havent tried again.
