Hey guys! I need some help. My father wants to buy one of those cowboy leather coats with those things hanging around on it.. I hope you know what I mean. The thing is that I haven't been able to find it online.. Is there a special name for it cause I haven't been able to find it under "cowboy leather coat". It would be great if someone could give me a link where they sell it...

Not really knocking your Dad's choices in menswear, however, the fringe stuff is definitely NOT, "cowboy".

Originally the fringed garments were worn by native American types for two reasons. One it helped break up the outline of the human body and two, it helped water run off your sleeves (not too effective at that though as I used to wear a beaded handmade buckskin "warshirt" shirt to hunt in and it was really fringed :roll")

Nowadays, it's just something to sell. :(

IF he wants the authentic "cowboy" look, I'll dig around a bit for some outfitters that may appeal to his pocketbook and his tastes in outdoor wear.

Gimme a couple of days.

Expensive, but pretty authentic looking (for the late 19th Century "old west") FRINGED Jacket,

Want to REALLY wow the folks back home? ( and blow LOTS of $$? )

This is pretty high $$ too,

Both of the above jacket thingies are patterned after Sioux/ plains indian "warshirts". They're a lot more functional to wear than a buckskin warshirt too. ;)
Dusters and stuff
