1946 mission building problem

Last night I created a mission where a flight of MiG-3s performed an attack on a German railway. Trouble is one of the MiGs always smacks into the gound on the rocket dive. The attack starts off at an altitude of 2000m. Why does this always happens? Is it the convergence of the rockets? (I have it on 800m). I have the MG convergence on 500m and notice that the AI uses the MGs as a guide to when to fire the rockets. Should I have both the MGs and rockets at the same convergence?

Is the Ground Attack/target waypoint @2000m?
Try setting one close to target @500 and add another after for the climb out.
Try the mission attacking without rockets and see if it still crashes, (it may be the blast causing the crash)
You could change the skill to veteran or ace for the crashing plane.
Are you running "Play" from FMB or from game mission menu?
Check the ground elevation at the target area by placing an aircraft and moving its takeoff point to the area you're attacking then select it as "player" test mission and check altitude.

The attacking alt. is 2000m Sneaks. All AI are set to Veteran and I tested the mission from the Mission Generator. I'll try some of your pointers when I get home from work.

Well, Sneaks I kind of solved the problem. I didn't give enough space between the waypoint to begin attack and the actual waypoint attack. So the planes just began attacking instead of lining up in tandem. But hell, those choo choo trains sure pack some accurate AA fire.
