Which one is better for gaming and extreme graphics? Is the Laptop more durable or flexible? Will I get the same quality as a powerful desktop? Is updrading a laptop possible?
A desktop/tower will be able to move air better...

I had a friend who got one of the "extreme" gaming laptops from one of the big laptop companies (but not the big gaming computer companies). It worked great, played games and looked beautiful. But heat was a major problem for that thing all the time. So much so that it, eventually, cratered. Luckily it was under warranty and he got it replaced.
I'd say stay with a desk top unless you absolutely need portability. Even then, most towers aren't that heavy and the bigger ones come with wheels.
Just my $.02

no

no, you silly man
The idea of laptop being used for gameplay is a bit odd.
- Laptops are meant for being portable, convenient etc. not gameplay.
- case of laptop is smaller and structure more dense = > heating problem as Snaphoo mentioned
- costs! for the costs of gamplay-capable laptop you can buy laptop for work and gameplay capable desktop, well at least laptop may be 2nd hand.
- laptop is portable, you take it, move it etc. to all funny places - it doesn't mean it is good for computer unit to be moved, handled, taken by one hand (microbrakes on lcd matrix, motherboard etc.)
- hardware - usually lcd matrix, graphics etc. are a bit weaker in laptops than desktops
- comfort of useing it... put a laptop on your desk, connect a mouse... ok... power supply... ok... lan cable... ok... speakers/headphones... ok... mic.... ok... joystick... ok...
enough?

Thanks, yes I can get silly sometimes.

But knowing diddly-squat about Laptops I'd though I'd ask. The good news is that I bought one of those tower fans and ran it and it cooled down my system a bit. It'll buy me enough time until I get that new rig finished.

Good grief! That's a powerful rig!

But it'll cost me around TT$55,000.00 if I select all the top gadgets- as much as a second-hand car!
