had a great time tonight, although a tank round took me out very early in the first flight I had a good second.
I took out 2 bridges but this didnt register on the scoreboard at the end, is it lying to me?
Also is someone going to be able to sort out my teamspeak thing (some kind of echo or whatever) because I really hate press-to-talk
Anyway I had a fun evening and look forward to flying with you chaps again!

Open your Windows Volume Control, check "Advanced Controls" in options and mute Mic in Playback window. Go to Properties, select Recording and check Mic is selected and not "what you hear"

yer mic is selected, output volume of ts lowered too but still occurs.
I have a Creative Audigy Platiunum card if that helps/if its a known duplex problem?

Nice flying with you Bandog.
Another echo cause is in Windows audio by default it is on 20db boost! Its in advanced and should be switched off if on.

You don't get a score for bridges but they recorded in the mission log and you would get credit for a ground target in the campaign scores we keep (see SCS link on front page) as the mission objective was to destroy bridges.
Glad you enjoyed it mate and hope you have your comms issues sorted out now.

Are you guys using any award system for ground attack pilots? Last session in H.E. I was left wondering what a fair way might be for awarding ALL pilots with medals. I believe the following is true for the game (well at least in DCG) for fighter pilots (Russian):
- Order of the Red Banner - 3 Air Kills
- Order of the Red Star - 5 Air Kills
- Hero of the Soviet Union - 10 Air Kills
After that I think one needs to obtain 20 Air Kills. No one (I believe) has every achieved that since pilot stats are reset if you are killed.
With ground attack it is not unusual to get a whack of destroyed ground units. Maybe I could research this a bit. Have you guys done anything with regards to this matter? It is ashame (but maybe historical) that bomber pilots are not awarded anything for their hard work in the game.

Came across the following at an Axis IL-2 Squad website. Might make things more complicated then it needs to be but it does recognize the difficulty between certain ground units.
Just food for thought. Obviously I'm just thinking out loud as this might be something we do in H.E. and I'm not expecting to impose it on your group. However, if there is interest to also reward your bomber pilots I would like us to be consistent.
- Aircraft Kill: 1
- Static Aircraft Kill: 0.2 (DivFactor 5)
- Tank Kill: 0.5 (DivFactor 2)
- Car Kill: 0.1 (DivFactor 10)
- Artillery Kill: 0.2 (DivFactor 5)
- AAA Kill: 0.25 (DivFactor 4)
- Wagon Kill: 0.1 (DivFactor 10)
- Big Ship Kill: 4 (MultipliFactor 4) {Battleships, cruisers, aircraft carriers...}
- Small Ship Kill: 2 (MultipliFactor 2) {Freighters, torpedo boats, submarines, ...}
- Bridge Kill: 2 (MultipliFactor 2)

Yes we are - if you follow the SCS link on the front page and then click on one of the alive pilot names you will see their medals. If you click on the "award key" then that takes you to an explanation of the level of achievement for each medal for both fighter and bomber pilots. We had US awards for the Pacific campaign and now have Soviet ones for the new Eastern front campaign.
My view is the fighter awards are easier to get, but as a mudmover I guess I am biased on that one

Oh you mudmovers. You guys are always too low to the ground in my opinion.
Thanks Nellip. I have been "watching" you guys enjoy these campaigns on Sundays, but I missed the awards section. Interesting. As DCG automatically awards the fighter pilots I feel that we must stay faithful to it. I will need to think about this a bit further. I actually like the pro-rated system mentioned above, but maybe that's too much for my calculator to take. If my bomber dudes promise never to earn any medals then I think the system could work.
Thanks for the link mate.

I do have that 20db boost on but then my mic input is very quiet without it. What do you suggest as a workaround? Just turn the output volume up higher in TS?
EDIT: I have done the above but although it sounds a little quieter and slightly better, there is still a small echo present.
