Gunner Rucker is an old pard of mine. He was ancient when I was in the Navy 35 years ago. 
The old fart is still hangin in there and still spams me with lots of p**n stuff..

GNARLY is an understatement...Ah yes,reminds me of my days in VF-791,(activated reserve unit from Memphis,TN.),flying F4-U Corsairs on a straight deck Essex class carrier,Stil had CVEs,couple of
CVLs.For those of you nor around at that time,you are correct in assuming it was 'GNARLY'.
