Yellow Wolf Running In White Snow, by Lynnon Bullman: In the mid-1950s, an old rancher rides into the Crying Sqaw Mountain Range after an old, yellow lobo that's been attacking his stock---fully intending to kill it. Yet in a duel to the death with a savage pack of grey wolves, the old lobo saves his life---and how can he kill it then? They become friends of a sort, or rather soul mates out there in the lonely high country. Is the yellow wolf a mystical guardian of the high places---a spirit of the wildness, as the old half-Indian, Quanta, tells the rancher? Or is it just lonely, like the old rancher, and needing companionship and a friend? Maybe, in a thousand years or so, the rancher might be able to tell you that. The next time he sees the yellow wolf running in white snow.

hope you guys enjoy it, a sort of offbeat western set in the 1950s, and i put everything i ever knew about living on a ranch and farm and growing up in the wilderness into this story. it was one of the easiest stories for me to write, as i simply used old memories to create the storyline's world, animals and humans. i had a grand time doing this tale. it was like taking a time machine back to the very best parts of my long ago childhood.
