Sorry guys that I have not been on in about 2 to 4 months. My computer had a serious crash and we just got it fixed. The hard drive was fried. Luckely I got all my information, including my IL2 stuff, off of it. I would really like to join the squadron, I do not know what I need. I have:

- a flightstick
- i'm updated all the way to pacific fighters

I think I need a headset so I can communicate. I do not know where to get teamspeak though. It would also be great if someone could point me to some headsets. Also, I need to get to 4.5, but I can't figure out how to get the pe-2 add-on. Thanks for the help. Hopefully I will be in the air soon.

Hi Airhawk, nice to see you back.

We all get these technical problems and drop out of sight for a time - glad to hear you have things sorted.

In terms of what you need to fly with us:

You will need to patched up to 4.05m as that is the current game version most of us are using (a few guys are still on 4.04 but not many). The Pe2 download (which takes you from 4.04 to 4.05) is available on the Ubi site but you might want to wait a few days because a new DVD version of the game is due out in the next "two weeks" that will include the Manchuria and '46 addons to take the game to 4.07. The DVD will include all previous content (including the Pe2 addon) and I suspect most of the frequent flyers will upgrade to this. See you are based over the pond and there was some talk about this DVD being difficult to get in the US - maybe some of our US members can advise?

We meet up on Hyperlobby and you will need the client for this if you don't already have it. Go to http://hyperfighter.sk/index.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; to get it.

Headset for comms does add another dimension to the game so if your pockets are deep enough by all means get some. We use software called Teamspeak which is freeware and can be downloaded from many websites.

Hope this helps.
