Incredible agricultural machines!

Here are some pics of our local "drink-lots-of-not-ready-wine-and-show-of-
your-old-trekkers-and-your-american-style-hats" festivity.
Most of the machines are built in the 50ies, unfortunately i was to late with my camera to take photos of all the trekkers (about 70).Most of them are
made in Austria, Germany and the US. The oldest was built in 1947.

Especially I do like the "Lindner Bauernfreund" with its 17 PS very much ...

SWEET lil thngs they are.
Well taken care of/restored at that as well.
Over here, those are pretty much "lawn tractor" sizes. I do remember the big screaming air cooled DEUTZ diesels. LOTS of horsepower in a very small package.
I grew up with IH (FARMALL) Super M's, 560's and John Deere 70's. ( the last of the "poppin Johnnies" with the HUGE 2 cyl motors. (The engine had a
6 1/8 bore and 6 3/8 stroke, 376 cid, 1,125 rpm, 54.7 drawbar and
51.5 belt horsepower. )

I've a friend back in Pensacola, Florida who restores these as a hobby.
Very cool machines.

I well remember the little Fergusons and the Ford 8N and 9N series. Old flathead motors were pretty much bullet proof. Had to watch that "live" PTO. If you had a mower on the back the flywheel effect form the mower blades would push the tractor after you'd shoved in the clutch..
Made for some interesting times whilst mowing the pasture..
