If you have the means.....

Now this is just sick. :shock:

A friend of mine sent me this link....this is great

Now HERE's a REAL model airplane! U.S.Air Force B-52 Bomber

WHAT AN INCREDIBLE MODEL PROJECT! There is a link at the bottom to watch it fly....Enjoy!
Actually has 8 real turbine engines at a cost of about $1500 each. Took over 2 years to build. Has a wing span of about 22 feet. Takes multiple pilots, as there are so many things to control. Actually has landing lights.

Think they were nervous during the maiden flight? Built & flown in England.

Unbelievable that someone would make this & it actually flys - with all real jet turbines $12,000 just for the engines!

Check out the movie link below to see the first flight. Not the best cameraman, but it works. First time ever, as far as anyone knows, that a model of a B-52 of any size, with real jet engines, has ever been flown. REALLY AMAZING !!

To see it actually fly click here: http://www.mcgirt.net/RC/VIDEOS/Giant_B ... light2.wmv" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

My first and only R/C plane flew for about 4 mins then immediately crashed into a major highway in Florida :)

I havent built one since! Although one day I will!

I thought I once saw a clip of this model, or another one like it, crashing at an airshow?

I just cannot believe he actually landed that thing. And it's not even like it was a rough landing, it was smooth as a baby's butt.

yeah, indeed, I think there is another of it flying at an airshow and getting destroyed on landing. Although it may be another similar plane, all that time, blood, sweat, and scarole gone! :(

Needs to make more smoke.....

BUF's make a LOT of smoke.. :lol:

I still get treated to seeing an occasional B-52 clanking about the skies around here every month or so.

Got to see a B-17 doing touch and goes at Meacham Field yesterday. THAT is a sight. :D

Was good to see old "Chuckie" out for a spin.
