The game will ship in two versions: a standard version that retails for $49.99 and a $59.99 Collector's Edition DVD version that includes a steelbook case, an exclusive D-Day map detailing Able Company's battles across German-occupied France, a paratrooper's survival guide, authentic vehicle identification quiz cards, and a behind-the-scenes interactive bonus DVD.
Get ready folks as I will be pre-ordering my Collectors edition next week!

wohoo! Can't wait for this one :D

I already love this game :)
Tried the single player demo, which was great. And now I tried the multiplayer beta... Which I also loved, but I still get my arse kicked all the time...:P

Anyone here who's up for a 1 vs 1 maybe? Just drop me a PM. :)

Minimum Requirements:
1 GB RAM
3.0 GHz Processor
and a 256 MB Videocard

I've got 2GB RAM, AMD XP Dual Core 3800+, GeForce 7900GT. Works like a charm on highest settings 1280x1024. And it's still just the beta I play...:)
Imo, this is the best game released in over a year I think... :D

Ooops

My mistake

it is Polish Special Edition of CoH.

Western Collector's Ed. looks different -

Image

I think the contents are the same, only packagingdiffers.

on the Polish publisher's website they say "Authentic ammo box".

A guy from CDProjekt(our publisher) claims it is made of metal.

I'm curious - why did they need so much ammo that now they give the boxes with games...

Maybe there was some arguement in the company :)

How much eye-candy are you able to run Macca? Any in-game screenshot(s) to share mate? Not expecting to be able to run it on ultra settings, but can we (you) run it on med-high settings with some tweaking?

Also, does it have the depth of say the Total War series? I mean does it have some tactical "meat" for the strategy gamer to enjoy?

No screenies here, I will try to take some later on.

I run the game on med settings and looks realy nice.

You want tactics - you have them in this game. I've just played a mission in Carentan - the player is to defend the town and capture some supply points. We have 3 bridges to defend, extra supply points are on the other bank of the river.

It is adviceable to build some strong points on each of the directions of eventual German assault - they've got armor- Panzers, StuGs.

I built some sandbags to hide my 57mm AT guns behind them, as a protection from lsmall caliber weapons and shrapnels, also some barbed wire to slower movement of enemy infantry.each main eventual way of enemy strike I covered with heavy MGs and snipers.

It all worked quite nicely, I had some serious losses though, when they broke one of my blocades and I had quickly to withdraw one of my 57s to a different spot to get rid of enemy tank Apart from that I had a squad or two of engineers upgraded with flame throwers :)

It is a really nice tactical game, flanking, surpressing fire, granades, satchels, guns, mortars, everything is here. I waseven able to call artillery support, gee, this really makes a hell on earth.

Great thing is when you capture enemy's Mg, you can make your people take it and place it somewhere else, so you can pour some BG42 lead on the Jerries.

This game is really great, try the demo and see for yourself.
I will also check thegame "Faces of War", by 1C Maddox Games, which is coming very soon here. And increadibly cheap as we;;.. It looks really nice, has some similar features as CoH, ioncluding destructable enviroment, and so on. It is to be released by Ubisoft in the West.

Faces of WAr looks like this

here is the website of this very promisingtitle.

So CoH and FoW look both nice...
