I have a lot of things to say so I'll just get to it.



1. I ordered Pacific Fighters a while ago and it got lost in the mail so they sent me a new one and I am gessing I will get it around Wensday or Thursday(next week). I was wondering if anybody knew of a good session to join around that time when I get it.



2. Once I have the the airshow video on the computer, I will email anybody one that wants one.



3. I was at my grandma's house and I went through my grandpa Sly's stuff(he was a fighter pilot who flew a P-47 in WW2). I found pilot log books, medals(Distinguished Flying Cross and Purple Heart are two of them), old spice cologne, Colt.45 bullets, Japenese Dollars, all of his training books(including the official army air forces guide), all of his mission breifings on paper, maps, squadron books, a picture he took from his cockpit of the wing while in the air, dogtags, all three of his uniforms+hat, and a lot lot more. I hope to post a lot of picttures soon so all of you can see.



4. The last thing is I will not be on the forums next Tuesday and Whensday because I am starting my flying lessons.

Seems like a nice find....Do not,I repeat!,Do not sell the thing´s.....

My Bitch of aunt sold a lot of my grandfathers war memorablia, and I will slapp her silly when I see her next time......

and she let her doumb ass son play with the medals and he riped all of the ribbons of them one can get new ones but it cost and is not original.

i have aranged so that I will get whats left when her time comes....


The family is rather upset about it and I´m sure you are a better person than my aunt

I would never sell them. In fact there in my room in a fire proof safe. I think my grandpa shot down a couple planes but to be sure how many, I am going to check in the log books. I know he bombed a train and was shot down twice but still lived. I was looking in his log books the other day and he flew a P-40 before he flew a P-47 and after he flew the P-47, he had a little time in a P-51. He also saved most of his breifings and what cities to bomb and so forth. Could make for some interesting IL2 missions.

You should absolutely do that! Can't wait to fly "Airhawk14's grandfathers bombing mission for p-47".

I have a partial picture of his plane but I can't make a skin because I do not have the right tools. Would anybody else be willing to do it if I sent a picture of it?

wow sounds awesome mate, i had a great uncle who flew in the pacific. Hes got all the info you spoke of, he got shot down and was in a POW camp in japan but managed to survive. My aunt has all his belongings. Cant wait too see and here more.

He actually flew in europe but did have some Japenese encounters.

Thats exactly the same as my uncle! He was in a Japanese POW camp but survived the war.

The only relative that I know off that served in the war would be my great grand father who apparently was a surgeon attached to the RFC.

I don't really know that much about him because he died decades before I was born but I believe he was friends with Arthur "Bomber" Harris in his younger days and even went up flying with him

I think he went on to be a navy surgeon during the second world war but thats all I know....will probably ask my grandad for more info or photos when I next see him.

My Grandad was in the British Army Cadets after the war. Apparently he threw a grenade vertically upwards and the instructor was displeased as all the members of the squad had to run for their lives.
