Awlright now,
When I try to fly the F6 Hellcat or F4 Wildcat in an ocean setting, all I see is a sea level view that I can magify or demagnify, but can not look left right up or down. And did I mention that there is no plane either, just open sky and water.. The little altitude, airspeed, and azimuth thingy to the lower left seems to show the plane doing stuff, but does not respond to any inputs I do.
Some planes work just fine, like the F4U, but some don't like the above.
What the hellp to I do? God forbid I have to reinstall from the beginnginginnngggg....

Sounds like the cockpits missing, I got that on the Pe2 first time around, just installed the patch again and all was fine.I dont know of any short cuts around this one.Do the planes fly as AI? I was able to fly the Pe2 in externals by creating a dogfight server and selecting a flyable AC first (but you can do that with any AI plane).

Tryed that, still got a problem
OK,
I reinstalled Pe-2 (i did not uninstall it before i did, if i can do that).
I selected the F6F with the same result as before.
I switched to external view and I could see the plane flying at the correct altitude. I could manipulate my view with the mouse just fine. But I can not control the aircraft with the joystick, it just does it's own thing.
Still in the woods,
Mike

more stuff
i tryed using key board commands to no avail, for some reason the bail out key worked, but nothing else.
Yes, the AI planes, friendly and enemy are flying just fine. Don't know if they come after me or not....?
Anybody else got this problem?

Has this just happened since patching from 4.04m to 4.05?
If so have you saved the "files.sfs" from 4.04(enabling you to switch versions)?
If you can check the F6 and F4 in 4.04m and see if the problems still there.
I could send a backup if youve lost this file
