HOTAS trim and bombsight

I recently got a spare joystick (£3.00 at the charity shop).
I primarily got this because it has trim wheels for it's 2 axis + throttle.
This works great for rudder and elevator trim, and the throttle assigned to prop pitch.

What to do with the top hat and other 4 buttons?
I've set the top hat to control bomb-sight view.
Trigger = release bomb
button 2= increase bombsight altitude
button 3= decrease bombsight velocity
button 4= increse bombsight velocity

added bonus is small corrections to rudder and elevator can be made using this stick on bomb run approach.

All it needs now is a break-jack socket for some rudder pedals

and the pedals work too

Just done a quick re-wire on some ex-nintendo racing pedals and got rudder pedals on the second joystick.

My initial impression is it's as big an improvement over the Twist-stick rudder as that was over pressing "Z" & "X" on the keyboard , plus it's good to keep your feet animated (what with the risks of DVT if its a long session)

Reckon its time to go do some more tests now
