I actually did something right the first time for a change..
Installed all the new stuff mobo, p/s, and CPU and the damn thing booted up and ran!!
Got some tweaking to do and some tests to run and some patches to install and some beer to drink etc etc..

I spoke too soon.
After updating to the latest bios version as specified by the knowitall sonsabitches at INTEL, my 3.06G Northwood is running at 1.64G.
May be an OS issue. I'm going to reinstall Windoze on another HD and see if the speed changes.....

click the supported processor link and see hwat it says about the 3.06G with the updated P21 or later bios ( mine is a P-25 )
