Hi folks,
thx for your joining again!
Unbelievable how fast the level1 fighter melting ...  :D
We will see if we will be able to keep the resupply rate of 8 planes each squadron a week (6 missions).
Maybe we should meet in TS one evening, exchanging a few thoughts by talking is much easier than posting and spamming your forums
I noticed you also meet for RoF ... is it in the week?

However, raping airfields became a successfull new buisness for ground attackers.

Really felt sry for Larry, I raped Medyn, he just started ...and well, my energy was higher, however he did best one could with the bit energy he had. So once again sorry m8, I am actually no friend of vulching, but I guess u would have shot me if I wouldnt had.
Still thinking of it... :doubt:

Nice ride with Mikester at F13 airfield, god thx our 37mm flak did a good job and saved me ass.

The map is up2date, thx Armitage we can use a proper statistics table.
I linked the logs & mission file in the stats forum.

This are the intels for next week
Soviet forces are concentrated around Kubinka (Q-10).
Soviet forces are concentrated around Lesnoy Gorodok Depot (S-11).
Heavy fighting reported at Uvarovka Bridge (K-12).
Heavy fighting reported at Uvarovka Airstrip (K-10).
Reports indicate that there is intense fighting at Peredel Dropzone (N-7).
Heavy fighting reported at Peredel (L-7).
Heavy fighting reported at Klimov Zavod (H-3).
Reports indicate that there is intense fighting at Dorokhovo (O-10).

This are the active airfields and planes atm for red
I guess Graf Zahl will update the airfield map up to wednedsday.

Greetings Comrades!

Here is a simple presentation of the currently available aircraft on each airfield. No numbers included, so it's really just a survey.

As far as I know it is still possible to change the position of the squadrons. Therefore there might be some surprises next sunday... :D

Cheers!

Two quick questions for our excellent host!

1) I was only able to find one squadron of I-16s during Sunday's missions. Expected to find one squadron at L4 or M5 airfield (120IAP with I-16T24) and one at M16 airfield (12GvIAP with I-16T18). There were some at one of these fields, M-16 I think. But I was unable to find any at L4 or M5 if I remember correctly. Did I miss something? Hope this is an easy fix. (*** Any FI, please correct me on this if you remember otherwise! May be oversight on my part.***)

2) Want to confirm what losses count to degrade number of planes available. Obviously human-lost planes count. I believe AI losses also count, but please confirm these losses also degrade our numbers 1-for-1. The real question here is destruction of static planes. Do we lose one plane from our flyable aircraft available for every static plane that is destroyed? Or is there some kind of "ratio" (i.e. 3 static planes destroyed = 1 less plane available to fly, or something like that)? Or, is there NO cost for the loss of static planes?

Danke! :D

I planned to join you last evening in RoF but it was just too late for me from work

.....
In the first mission Red had an I_16TYPE24 at L4 ([120IAP00]) and a YAK_7B (160IAP10) at M13.
As far as i can remember one half of our bit took care of the airfield in M13 and destroyed all static aircrafts here, which effected the total count of Yak7b (level1),which again triggered the downgrade to I_16Type18 (level2). When I am correct it effected also the Il2 fieldmods.
The second mission hosted I-16_Type18 at M13 and I16_Type18 at L4. We didnt destroy any static I16 at L4 (which would explain the downgrade to I16 Type18 there), ...so this leads to your second question and actually the same question we lead in our forums already...
Losses of static planes are counted 1:1 to its model. If I destroy a static Bf109F4 and a human Bf109F4, it means -2 Bf109F4 in total count.
I am unsure how AI planes are counted to the total number. I also noticed "unregular" losses to our Bf110 and Hs129 as there are max 3 static planes of a model located at each airlfield. I actually wanted to test how AI planes losses count (1:1 or in a certain rate)within this week, but I returned home just too late the past days.
However it looks like AI losses count in some rate and this would deffo need to be addressed to the max nnumbers of our planes.
Noone of us can be responsible for our AI flights. I guess the easiest attempt would be to seperate AI planes and human planes, which would mean we get double numbers of squadrons on the map, but as flying numbers would keep the same.

This is again an issue which shows that DCG was not intended to be made for hermaphrodite use like MDS. I will test the workaound
saturday at last, dunno why it shouldnt work that way, as I can define what squadron is AI ans which human use.

Feel a bit sorry that u serve as sandbox for DCG use in MDS, but I never used DCG in such a scale.

Oops,my mistake on the I-16 squads - we only have ONE now, as you wrote. (One with I-16 as highest-level airplane, that is).
You're right! We need to know what's going on with AI losses. I don't see any AI I-16Type24 losses to human planes in the stats from Sunday's 1st mission... so it appears that this downgrade to Type18 in the 2nd mission can only be explained by destruction of AI I-16Type24's by other AI! I have no idea if the event log even captures AI-to-AI kills, do you?? In any case, good luck in your efforts to learn more about this. Agree it may be a reason to raise the plane count - like your idea of separating AI and human squads as one possible method.

Something else I'm curious about in the event log file is lines like the one below. I don't think this has anything to do with reducing airplane count, does it?
"[18:37:13] Il-2_1941_Early removed at 162132.88 67436.28"
"[18:54:30] Bf-109E-7 removed at 33052.074 72713.234"
I don't mind being part of a "sandbox." Good learning opportunity for everyone, and no prob as long as we all talk our way through these things. Thanks for the quick reply again mate! :D

These are landed AI aircrafts which got despawned after they reached their final position.
I activated the option for not flooding the airfield with landed aircrafts and thus easy targets for airfield rapers. ;)

Ai squadrons and player squadrons are now completely seperated from each other.
We now got the complete planelist duplicated but seperated.
The AI aircraft framework keeps the same and uses same downgrades as humans will do.

I took the plane losses form last sunday into account. Pls check the list below for exact numbers.
Listed are plane losses of crashes, AI kills human, human kills human.

Static plane losses, due airfield rapes, havent been counted on human plane numbers but for AI.
This means the static aircraft kills of last sunday effect the total numbers of AI flights.
As AI planes serve as framework, I will increase their max number at same degress for both armies, otherwise AI flies already next sunday with level 3 planes, wich is imho not wanted.
Human squadrons will place static planes as well as AI squadrons do, so it will still be possible to decrease human planes by airfield rape.

In summary that means "human plane numbers" can be decreased by
-human crashes
-human kills human
-AI kills human
-AI destroys human statics
-human destroys human statics

Human plane numbers are not dependant to AI flight abilities anymore, which is by far a more fair way and should regulate our total plane loss count. So each team is responsible for ones own losses. I didnt expect AI plane losses would count into human plane numbers, just noticed this after the last debriefing, as planes were lost, that noone was flying.
I expect plane numbers to be more transparent and followable from now on. Finally!
Once again sry for being my "sandbox".

Value & counted losses for human squadrons:

Code: Select all

Yak-7B	1
Bf-110G-2	4
Bf-109F-4	2
Il-2_1941_Late 2
Bf-109F-2	1
P-39D1	3
Pe-2series84	1
Ju-88A-4	1
Il-2_1941_Early	3
Bf-109E-7	1
P-40E-M-105	1
If you notice an error I can add or substract planes for second sunday mission.
Your losses due spawn crashes have been added ;)

I will update the total counts for this evening I hope.

edit:
Catch the latest excel file
The list contains aircraft location, downgrades, debit numbers, max and minimum numbers, airfield coordinates, and a transfer-to field for editing.Plz tell me if u got probs due write protection on the file.

As it is not possible to track debit downgrade numbers, I will keep posting the total amount of aircrafts,
which should be enough. Graf Zahl will keep updating the aircraft location in a grafic...i hope.
His latest is probably not correct, as I duplicated the squadrons for human use only, pls use the excel file for tomorrow.

the IL2 logs does capture that AI events but I only extract those pertaining to AI/human interactions.

I could capture all AI events.

Thx to all pilots.
Seperating AI planes from human planes worked, but the Server Commander doesnt know how to manage the different classes...on problem fixed another born ... ffs...
Will have to see how to get a workaround for that .... not a real born Moving Dogfight Tool the DCG is...I tell ya.
But I already got a touch of an idea ...
So long you can check this file for human plane numbers.

The map should be up2date within the next 30 mins.
You will notice the "battle" markings which means the location is contested and thus triggers in a 2:3 chance for columns to travel to that location.
The map already changed in the past mission, as blue conquered Peredel, but looks like we lost it again... #-o

Dear friends,
we will tomorrow again try to bomb you home to Moscow, although I fear you cutted some of your support veins, at least when I interpretate the log file correctly...have u seriously been able to destroy concrete bridges??

The issue to wrong counted planes numbers by the Server commander has been eliminated.
In our first mission the SC will maybe list a few AI planes, but seperated from human numbers.
In second misison at last all AI numbers should be gone off the prompt line (<planes)

At the end, nothing changes, but AI uses different planes than humans (e.g. Bf109F4->Bf109F4b;Yak1B->Yak1BEarly,P40EMod->P40E etc)
