Yes and some like to land their planes or shoot other planes ...
I cant tell anyone not to light the landing lights or tracers as I dont tell anyone not to use rockets or other weapons.
It is part of the game.
;)

Never mind, there will be a fair bit of flashing lights and black smoke in the next mission i'm sure :p

They use the lights for landing and take off only, guess the wingtip tracers are just a wrong kye hit.
Those guys fly on their own server with lights as "gentlemen agreement" for not being attacked...for practising or whatever. I am pretty sure this gentlemen agreement doesnt work on sundays evening :D

I know what u maybe mean, as I also flew sometimes on ADW and Ivan used those tricks to call support via the live triggered coordinates.
Zwerg, however, is more than grateful if noone takes notice on him and he can load his bombs unchallenged.
But if it helps, use wingtip smoke or lights, I dont mind.

I know some dogfight servers used to disallow wingtip smoke as it was believed to cause lag on the server?

Some pilots used/misuse lights to identify friendlies in a fight. However If you see this from your opponents don't be mad, turn yours on as well, it looks like Christmas and causes much confusion for all :) .

Nephris,
I was only trying to say that I think he's got a key mapped that's causing his smoke to toggle on/off and is not aware of it. Can't imagine why anyone would turn it on & off hundreds of times all throughout a mission if not for this reason. Just wanted to pass this along & let him know as a courtesy, so he can check his settings & change this if it's unintentional. If I were him I would want to be made aware of it - I would NOT want to be highlighting myself with a trail of smoke in an online war! #-o

Hi folks,

another hard 2x90min of air warfare is done!
The map and single debriefing is up 2 date, linked via my Sig, as usual.

What I noticed ... a skinpack is useless, if the skin download is off
You can save bandwith with a own skinpack that is installed on the server, but
if skindownload is deactivated the default skins are loaded only .
So skindownload will be activateted next time again, but as all skins are installed on the server by the skinpack
we will save the bandwith however. Send me an update of your skins if needed.

I ve no clue why some suffer by lag. The only blue pilot who got lag is Zwerg, but he uses a rather old machine/VGA card. Lohan claimed lag for getting killed, but it was RedDevils Il2 board gunner .... black screen...and dead.

I will delete all civil planes, maybe the paratroopers cause some probs to weaker systems.
So I cant do anything anymore I can think of against lag.

However I hope you enjoyed the 2x90mins.
Next date is 12th may again.

Graf Zahl now took the mission to update the excel file (numbers of planes) and the airfield map (located planes), so hang him high if he is not in time to upload the files ;)

I am sick of the temperatures in Germany and I can almost hide by standing in front of a white painted wall, so I will visit my mother-in-law in Croatia from 19th may to 1st june. Means we will miss at least 2 event sundays.Maybe you can offer once again coops ,as u did a few weeks ago, for all instead?

Ashame I will have to watch the Champions League Final in Wembley Stadium in croatian 4:3 tube tele , but I presume England will be glad to see a german team finally loosing in Wembley. :D

Intel Data for 12.05.2013

German forces are concentrated around Panzer Grp.IV Depot (A-7).
Soviet forces are concentrated around Dedovsk Depot (S-13).
Soviet forces are concentrated around Balabanovo Airfield (Q-7).
Soviet forces are concentrated around Lesnoy Gorodok Depot (S-11).
Reports indicate that there is intense fighting at Uvarovka Airstrip (K-10).
Reports indicate that there is intense fighting at Klimov Zavod (H-3).
Reports indicate that there is intense fighting at Dorokhovo (O-10).
Heavy fighting reported at Shakovskaya (K-15).

Get the updated Excel File of numbers and located aircrafts on the map.
The list considers all numbers past the last mission.
As the new mission will just be generated, the new supply planes are not in the list atm.
Up to now we use a supply rate of 2x planes/squadron/sunday.

Maybe we should think about a proper supply solution, like 12x planes/squadron/week (week = 7 missions).
That would also mean we raise the maximum number (quota, debit) of each squadron up to 12 planes/squadron or maybe more for bombers or less for the superiority fighters...guess that needs to be discussed together.

I guess taking care of planes would be more sustainable that way.

Atm we use 4 planes for each "superiority" fighter squadron and between 9-12 planes for each remaining squadron (round about).

However,I dont want to decide that on my own, and would like to read your thoughts about that.

Nephris,

I have log files for all missions up to and including 14th April 2013. Can you send me the mission and log files for missions since then ?

I've all of the other parsed bar three (I think they are from your other server. Strange logs!) and I am finalising the 0.5 version of the site.

Stats look good. There may be some minor issues but the only way to find them is for pilots to ask questions.

I have of items to be corrected or improvements that could be made so if anyone wants to lend a hand....

Thanks for the updates Nephris! Yeah, it was some tough fighting again, but enjoyable.
I don't have the lag problems, but suspect the paratroopers may be part of it. I have noticed they drop HUNDREDS of those guys!! (Who then all die as their chutes collapse in mid air. Looks kinda funny, in a macabre kind 'o way. )

Since you offered, we will try the transfers one more time. If DCG accepts them, great. If not, we won't worry with it from now on.
I have sent the requests to Genosse; he will probably send them to you Sunday morning if he has not already done so. (I don't have email for you, and can't host the file - sorry!)

Vielen dank!
