I think there are a few more weeks left yet of Pearl to Japan - hope so, as I have only written 1 Lvov mission so far and Doc lost his Smolensk missions when jos PSU fried his HD's

It will certainly be after the holiday.

Thanks Nellip.

So the first campaign to implement the squadron skins will be either "Pearl to Edo" or "Historic Encounters."

Both are on-going campaigns, so I guess we can wait a few more days for Snaphoo to get back to us.

Just waiting on the Yak-3 and the P-39 then.

I haven't added anyone since the October list.

That means that Blue and Badger et al are not there yet on my skins.

Sorry.

I intend to FINISH the old list and then add the new members in an update that may include fixes to any errors.

This update could come within two weeks of the initial release.

That's Genosse's paint over ... I forgot who's template/skin.

But it is a good one.

Look ... if Frank has a metal P-63 like that then we'll use that, okay?

But let's use this green Cobra for the P-39, unless Snaphoo show's up with his.

I found a pretty good polished metal template by mswantak.

It's old, but if you want realistic polish, this is one of the best.

If you wanna use an out-of-squadron template, then this is good.

Mswantak made the template,

I-16 Fan modified it here, but I can change it to an FI scheme;

either straight metal or FI Metal.

Whatcha thunk?

PS: Avirex had a good one too.

PPS: There's only one thing wrong with this type of polished skin. When it actually starts to move - and the reflections unnaturally don't - it looks kinna fakey.

Very WIP

this is the quick way to do a KingCobra w/metal.

The finish is a wee bit muddied,

all the lines don't match up

but is this good enough?

I could do a total remake for the first revision.

Well you're the artist mate, but it looks pretty good to me and is consistent with what you have done for other aircraft.

Well, actually I d/led the polish skin from il2skins.com and added some colours to it ... no big job to be honest. I think I still do have the PSD template on my HDD somewhere.

Aynone interested into it???
